Certified Backflow Prevention Tester – Oahu (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Pural Water Specialty Company, Inc. is an experienced State of Hawaii licensed contractor providing services for potable and non-potable water systems along with specialty mechanical process programs and solutions.  We have been serving the people of Hawaii and the Pacific for over 30 years. 

During State emergencies, Pural Water is considered an Essential Service Provider, able to meet the operational needs for our customers and provide continuous, steady work.  

We are currently seeking for a certified Backflow Prevention Tester to join our Oahu team. 

Primary Duties

  • Performs testing, inspection, maintenance, repair and certification of backflow prevention devices and fire flow testing devices.

  • Records, update and maintains various data and information in manual and electronic files.

  • Installs flow meters, and backflow/cross connection prevention assemblies.

  • Assists the Water Operators as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of recent work related experience as a Backflow Prevention Tester.

  • Current and valid certification as a Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester.

  • Journeyman Plumber license would be helpful

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean traffic abstract.

  • Able to do mathematical calculations.

  • Able to work after office hours as needed.

  • Mechanically inclined and competent using with hand-held tools.

  • Must be able to clear background checks for access to secure work sites.
